About Vidimus
What Vidimus is
Vidimus is an independent testing platform for AI agents used in Europe. It classifies each agent under the EU AI Act, then tests the live agent against the obligations that govern behaviour.
Every test is written from the regulation text and sent ten times, and the result is a pass rate. Obligations about process are checked against your documents, passage by passage. Your reviewer records the decision, and Vidimus issues a signed evidence pack, covering the EU AI Act and DORA, that an auditor can verify. Vidimus is a French company. It hosts customer data and AI processing in the EU, and sells no agents, models or fixes. It is not a notified body: it produces evidence, not certification.
At a glance
- Category
An independent testing platform for AI agents: tests and signed evidence, sometimes called AI agent assurance.
- Built for
Banks, insurers, industrial groups and other regulated organisations that run AI agents in Europe.
- Regulations
EU AI Act: behaviour is tested on the live agent; process and records are checked in your documents, passage by passage.
DORA: checklist with evidence, plus behavioural tests.
GDPR: when you select it, the 21 duties a conversation can show are tested on the agent, and the other 149 are checked against your documents. The GDPR control checklist is on the roadmap.
- Deliverable
A signed evidence pack for each decision, verifiable offline with its register line and our published key. It also says what it did not test, and why. Also exported: the classification record and the Article 50 attestation, both versioned and hashed, so any later change to them shows.
- The evidence pack
- Method
Each test is sent 10 times. Passed: 90% of graded replies or more. Needs review: 70% to 89%. Failed: below 70%. Inconclusive: fewer than 8 of 10 replies could be graded. Every verdict quotes the reply it graded and names the model that graded it. A borderline result waits for a reviewer who did not start the run.
- How we test
- Hosting
Customer data in Frankfurt; AI processing on Mistral in the EU; every server function runs in Frankfurt. The application host, Vercel, is a US company; transfers to it are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Security
- Independence
Vidimus builds no agents and sells no models or fixes. A pass and a fail pay us the same. If Vidimus changes hands, we tell you promptly and you may leave, with 90 days to retrieve your data. On request, the source code is placed in escrow.
- Independence
- Languages
English and French: the interface, the tests and the classification record. The evidence pack is generated in English or French; quotations of the regulation and some labels and notes stay in English.
- Pricing
Plans from €12,000 a year. The fee for a two-week pilot on one agent is credited against the first year.
- Pricing
- EU AI Pact
A signatory: voluntary commitments made to the European Commission ahead of the AI Act’s application.
How it works
Register
Sync your agents, or fill in one form. Vidimus classifies each under the AI Act.
Test
Tests written from the law run on the live agent, ten attempts each.
Decide
Your reviewer reads the findings and records the decision, with reasons.
Prove
Vidimus issues a signed evidence pack an auditor can check offline.
What Vidimus is not
- A notified body
Vidimus is not a notified body or a conformity assessment body. We produce evidence; your team decides.
- Legal advice
Findings are indicative assessments, pending human review. Your counsel and your reviewer decide what they mean for you.
- A red-teaming scanner
Red teaming looks for ways to attack an agent. Vidimus tests its behaviour against the law. Many teams use both.
- Compare
- A GRC inventory
A GRC (governance, risk and compliance) suite keeps the register of who owns what. Vidimus imports the inventory you already keep, and tests what is in it.
Questions about Vidimus
What is Vidimus?
An independent testing platform for AI agents used in Europe. It tests the live agent against the EU AI Act and DORA, and issues a signed evidence pack an auditor can verify.
Who is it for?
Banks, insurers, industrial groups and other regulated organisations that run AI agents in Europe. It is built for the teams that answer for those agents: risk, compliance, security and AI governance.
Is Vidimus a certification body?
No. Vidimus is not a notified body or a conformity assessment body. No harmonised standard has been cited in the Official Journal, so nobody can certify AI Act compliance today. We give your team evidence it can defend; your team decides.
Where is data hosted?
Customer data in Frankfurt, AI processing on Mistral in the EU, and every server function in Frankfurt. Every sub-processor is listed on the security page.
How do we start?
With a pilot on one agent: about two weeks, ending with a signed evidence pack, and its fee is credited against your first year. Your team registers the agent, pastes a request that already works (a curl command, for example), uploads the documents the obligations require, and records the decision.
